Journey Through Time II: A Major Luxury Watch And Jewelry Showcase In Kuala Lumpur

Dozens of luxury watch and jewelry brands will be on display several days from now, when the opulent Starhill Gallery in Kuala Lumpur hosts its 2nd annual "Journey Through Time" Exhibit.  In 2007, more than 35,000 people attended, making Journey Through Time one of the largest luxury showcases in Asia.  The event has been organized in conjunction with Tourism Malaysia, with additional support provided by Forbes Asia and a broad alliance of regional luxury retailers.

Among the many brands whose creations will be on display include Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Bedat & Co, Bulgari, Carl F. Bucherer, Chronoswiss, Concord, Corum, Daniel Roth, DeWitt, Franc Vila, Gerald Genta, Girard-Perregaux, Glashutte Original, H. Moser & Cie, Harry Winston, Hublot, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Jaquet Droz, MB & F, Milus, Omega, Piaget, Raymond Weil, Richard Mille, Romain Jerome, and Ulysse Nardin.  Independent watchmaking will also have a strong showing, represented by such acclaimed names as Vianney Halter, Bernhard Lederer of Blu, and the dynamic horological team of Urwerk.    

Another aspect of Journey Through Time II which luxury connoisseurs will appreciate include two museums that collectively offer broad perspectives on both historical and contemporary watchmaking.  Several exclusive launches will also be taking place, including the inaugural of Bedat & Co's very first boutique.  

The Starhill Gallery Journey Through Time II will begin on December 4, and continue through until December 14th.  The final evening will feature a lavish "Watch of the Year Awards" ceremony to recognize outstanding achievements in haute horlogerie.
