Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph For Chronopassion, Limited Edition Of 50

Audemars Piguet has revealed a new limited edition variant of its highly popular Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph, created especially for Paris-based retailer Chronopassion.   The intricate case of this exclusive Royal Oak Offshore timepiece is manufactured from titanium, which features a "microbille" bead-blasted finish.  Subtle and attractive, this distinctive frosted metal texture is contrasted by lustrous polishing on the hexagonal bezel screws and bevels of the octagonal Royal Oak bezel.  The famous "Grand Tapisserie" waffle pattern dial is in black and features white gold-surrounded luminous Arabic markers and white gold baton hands.  A tachymeter scale is printed along the concave dial rehaut.  

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph Chronopassion Limited Edition is animated by the 3126/3840 caliber; this fine, modular chronograph movement unites Audemars Piguet's manufacture 3120 caliber with a module from Debois-Depraz.  Featuring a balance frequency of 21,600 beats per hour and a power reserve of approximately 60 hours, the 3126/3840 offers a rapid-adjust date display, stop seconds, and a chronograph complication with 30-minute and 12-hour totalizers.  The technically meritorious features of Audemars Piguet's base movement include a full balance bridge for optimum stability, a free-sprung variable inertia balance and a date mechanism whose design precludes any setting-related damage.  The massive central winding mass is made from 22-karat gold, and displays the family crests of the Audemars and Piguet families in relief.  Additional aesthetic refinements of the 3126/3840 caliber include finely polished screw and jewel settings, perlage on the plate and undersides of the bridges, and Cotes de Geneve finishing on the top surfaces of the bridges.  

Audemars Piguet will produce 50 examples of the Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph Chronopassion Limited Edition.  Each timepiece is completed by a rubber strap with two decorative grooves and a micro-blasted titanium folding clasp.   The titanium caseback is engraved with the individual number of the watch, as well as the words "Limited Edition Chronopassion".
