Jaeger-LeCoultre Supports Charity Gala In Buenos Aires

Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre utilized its historic ties with the sport of polo to assist in raising money for a children's charity. At the Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires, Jaeger-LeCoultre joined forces with its official agent Simonetta Orsini to host polo players whose handicap goals each counted for fifty dollars towards the Nuestra Senora del Pilar Children's Home.  At a similar event last year, nearly $25,000 was raised.  The Nuestra Senora del Pilar Children's home provides a shelter for homeless or abandoned youths, providing them opportunities for education, practical skill acquisition, and the camaraderie-building of sports.  

Jaeger-LeCoultre Watches has been closely associated with polo for over 75 years.  In 1931, the manufacture debuted its iconic Reverso watch--the result of numerous requests from polo players for a timepiece which could withstand the rigors of the fast-paced equestrian sport.
