Girard-Perregaux ww.tc 24 Hour Shopping Watch Awarded "Most Beautiful Women's Watch Of The Year"

At the 9th Annual Prix Officiel de la Revue des Montres in Paris, Swiss watchmaker Girard-Perregaux received the "Most Beautiful Women's Watch of the Year" award for its ww.tc 24 Hour Shopping timepiece.  Stefano Macaluso, vice president of Girard-Perregaux, proudly accepted the accolade from Stephan Ciejka, Jury President of the prestigious ceremony.

The Girard-Perregaux ww.tc 24 Hour Shopping watch was introduced at the 2008 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie.  A delightfully feminine interpretation of the world time complication, this refined stainless steel Girard-Perregaux timepiece substitutes the typical world reference cities with the most famous global shopping locales.  Adding to the charm of this useful travel complication are a series of variably sized diamonds set into the world time ring, and a central dial in mother of pearl with round brilliant hour markers and graceful skeletonized hands.  The bezel of the ww.tc 24 Hour Shopping watch is set with 54 round brilliant diamonds and both the winding crown and world time crown are topped with onyx cabochons.

Visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback is a finely-decorated automatic movement designed and manufactured by Girard-Perregaux.  In addition to the world time complication with day night indicator, the Caliber GP033G0 also features small seconds, a power reserve indicator, and a rapidly adjustable date display.  The caliber has a power reserve of 46 hours.
