Glashutte Original Sport Evolution Impact Watches Showcase Shock-Resistant Technology

The Glashutte Original Sport Evolution watch collection has been one of the great successes of the German luxury watch brand, captivating watch connoisseurs with an appealing combination of mechanical sophistication, exacting workmanship and ruggedness.  This latter attribute has been given additional emphasis by the recent introduction of Sport Evolution Impact models, which are specially engineered for maximum resistance to shock.

The Glashutte Original Sport Evolution Impact Chronograph and Sport Evolution Impact Tourbillon both feature 46mm stainless steel cases with the characteristic alternating brushed and polished finishes.  Inside these finely finished cases are four critically-placed Elastomer elements which Glashutte Original developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer technology group in Stuttgart.  According to Glashutte Original, these flexible components cushion the fixation points of the dial and the mechanical movement, absorbing up to 60% of external impact forces.  Visually, the brilliant red material adds a particularly sporty touch to both dial and movement, the latter appearing through sapphire crystal exhibition backs.  To further differentiate these models within the Sport Evolution watch collection, Glashutte Original has placed a "Sport Evo Impact" signature on the bezels.

Ticking inside the Glashutte Original Sport Evolution Impact Tourbillon is the exclusive Caliber 94 movement.  Manufactured by Glashutte Original, this prestigious self-winding movement features the distinctive Panorama Date display, as well as an intricate flying tourbillon escapement.  The Sport Evolution Impact Chronograph employs the tried and tested Caliber 39-31, which is well known for its precision and reliability, as well as the excellence of its decoration and traditional Glashutte technical features.  Glashutte Original has indicated that additional models will be produced in the Sport Evolution Impact series.
