Chopard Elton John Watch Collection Launches In Moscow With Private Concert

On December 8, 2008, jeweler and luxury watchmaker Chopard introduced their new Elton John watch collection in Moscow's exclusive Barvikha Luxury Village.  The introduction was marked by a very special private concert by Sir Elton John, a long-time friend of Chopard co-president Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele.

Sir Elton John was welcomed to the opulent Barvikha Luxury village by an elegantly prepared setting, whose accoutrements included an English Tea Party theme complete with rose bouquets, small English cakes, and canapes.  Before the concert began, the VIP and celebrity guests enjoyed an elegant candlelit cocktail party, where the revised Chopard watch collection was officially unveiled.  The singer performed a two-hour set of his most famous classics, all the while adorned in Chopard diamonds and a magnificent baguette diamond-set version of the new Chopard Elton John Chronograph, which Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele had presented to him earlier.  

The Chopard Elton John watch collection comprises a range of chronograph timepieces in 18-karat gold, including models extensively set with diamonds and other precious gemstones.  A portion from the proceeds of each Chopard Elton John watch sold will benefit the charitable work of the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
