Carl F. Bucherer Watchmaking Fascinates Nela Konig And Prince Leopold Von Bayern

The watchmaking artistry of Carl F. Bucherer proved to be a great interest to Prince Leopold von Bayern and photographer Nela Konig, when both individuals had the opportunity to visit the brand's Lengnau workshops in November.  

For Nela Konig, a global ambassador of Carl F. Bucherer, the chance to see intricate mechanical movements and up close provided a reinforcement of her belief that the safeguarding of tradition is important in an increasingly fast-paced world.  "In a world where there is an excess of almost every product, a watch company rich in tradition such as Carl F. Bucherer, for whom the highest regard for precision, the greatest technical demands and a self-willed approach are important, is rather unusual," stated the 37-year old Berliner, whose portraits of celebrities have made her an in-demand photographer around the world.  

Prince Leopold Von Bayern, an avid enthusiast of chronographs and other fine mechanical watches, as well as a former race car driver, found the visit a confirmation of his great appreciation for precision and workmanship. "My special passion is chronographs, like the Patravi TravelTec by Carl F. Bucherer," said the Prince.  "These watches are closely linked to my earlier racing career and remind me of those exciting times."

Prince Leopold also spent time with Carl F. Bucherer watchmakers and technicians, absorbing in-depth technical information about the timepieces.  He also spent some time with Carl F. Bucherer CEO Thomas Morf, with whom he shared his enthusiasm for the art of fine watchmaking.
