Actress Zhang Ziyi Becomes Omega Brand Ambassador

Celebrated Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi has joined the roster of distinguished Omega brand ambassadors, which includes such personalities as Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps, F1 superstar Michael Schumacher, supermodel Cindy Crawford, and actors George Clooney and Nicole Kidman.  

Zhang Ziyi made her film debut in "The Road Home", by Zhang Yimou, which won the Silver Bear Award at the 2000 Berlin Film festival.  Since then, Ziyi has starred in sixteen additional films, including "Memoirs of a Geisha" and "House of Flying Daggers".  Her role as Jen in the 2000's acclaimed "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" made her well known to audiences around the world.  Forbes has declared Zhang to be the most powerful of Chinese female celebrities, as well as the most influential.  

Omega will work with Zhang to create a strong global advertising campaign.  Already, the well-known Swiss watch brand is arranging a series of appearances for the actress at key locations around the globe.  

Expressing her enthusiasm for the Omega brand, Zhang said, "I love Omega’s watchmaking heritage. They have a great legacy and history, including their presence in China...I am very pleased to be part of it".
