The dial exudes both sporty determination and casual elegance, showing off a hobnail guilloche pattern and a subsidiary seconds counter which is subdivided into different colors across its scale. Within the case of the Zenith Defy Classic Chrono Aero timepiece resides a legendary self-winding chronograph movement. First introduced by Zenith in 1969, the original El Primero movement created an industry sensation as the first integrated, column-wheel controlled chronograph movement with the astounding balance wheel frequency of 36,000 alternations per hour. Composed of 278 components, the Zenith El Primero 4000SC Caliber shares this same technical excellence, and also offers a rapidly adjustable date display. Thanks to the rapid balance wheel frequency, a chronograph precision to 1/10 of a second is assured for independent time intervals. A sapphire caseback is fitted to the watch so that the owner may enjoy the fine decorative detail and intricate mechanical detail in this fine Zenith manufacture movement. The Zenith Defy Classic Chrono Aero watch is produced in two sizes--the 43mm T, and the 46.5mm XT. There is also a Defy Classic Chrono Aero Gold & Steel timepiece, which shares the same technical characteristics, but is crafted from a combination of stainless steel and 18K rose gold. Available with a choice of white or black dial, each Chrono Aero watch is supplied with a strap in patterned leather or rubber, or a massive bracelet in stainless steel or a combination of steel and 18K gold.
