Wrought from the platinum, the 45mm case of this Arena Tourbillon Retrograde watch displays numerous complex textures, whose intricate fluted architecture is subtly emphasized by the broad bezel in brushed palladium.  Nowhere is the hallmark creativity of Gerald Genta evidenced more than in its dial work: this model proudly carries on that tradition with its multi-level design, alluring contrasts between colors and textures, and striking semi-circular skeleton piercings that reveals the underlying cadrature.  The cutout at six o'clock reveals the intricate tourbillon cage, which completes a full revolution each minute on the decidedly modern elongated polished steel bridge.  

The Gerald Genta Arena Tourbillon Retrograde watch is animated by the self-winding GG9053 caliber, a product of the Gerald Genta Manufacture which offers in addition to the prestigious tourbillon, a retrograde hour complication.  Comprising approximately 400 individual pieces and 54 jewels, the extensively hand-finished movement offers a 64-hour power reserve.  Equipped with a flat spring, the two-armed balance completes 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour.  A sapphire crystal exhibition back gives a full view of the elegant finishing, whose varied techniques number circular graining, chamfering, circular brushing, and hand-drawn edges.  A distinctive golden "Potter Finish" developed by Gerald Genta recalls the distinguished patina found on vintage watch calibers.

The Gerald Genta Arena Tourbillon Retrograde Hours features a curved sapphire crystal, and an alligator leather strap.  The timepiece is water resistant to 100 meters.
