Blancpain Recognizes Excellence At World Arabian Horse Championship

Recognizing the pursuit of excellence shared by haute horlogerie and the elite equestrian world, Swiss watchmaker Blancpain partnered with the 2008 World Arabian Horse Championship in December.  Before the discerning audience gathered in Paris, representatives of the renowned watch manufacture presented the Stadnina Koni Janow Podlaski with the Blancpain Prize, and an exceptional Blancpain watch.  The historic Polish stud farm is the owner of "Pianissima", the 5-year old Arabian mare who earned the highest marks of the competition.  

The special Blancpain watch presented to Stadnina Koni Janow Podlaski was a complete calendar model with a moon phase complication in 18-karat red gold.  This elegant self-winding timepiece with a 100-hour power reserve showcased an opaline dial with applied gold hour markers, and a sophisticated Hunter-style hinged back.
