The Glashutte Original NordicLight watch is manufactured from 18K white gold, its 39.4mm case fitted with a convex sapphire crystal. A sparkling ring of alternating round brilliant diamonds and blue sapphires--64 in all--encircle the bezel; the sides of the case are engraved with a unique pattern, which also shares a captivating alternation of round brilliant diamonds and blue sapphires. Lugs gleam with a brilliant polish, and the intricately faceted white gold crown is topped with a magnificent sapphire cabochon. The dial of this timepiece is a breathtaking canvas of luxury and intricacy; crafted from silvered gold, it displays an intricate engraved pattern that suggests the crystalline structure of a snowflake. The mother of pearl section in the off-centered hour and minute dial displays the same pattern, achieved as a result of careful engraving upon the mother of pearl slice, which allows light to shine through in a specific pattern. This beautiful surface is surrounded by two rows of round brilliant diamonds, and another semi-circular row of diamonds frames the picturesque moon phase indicator. The color blue figures prominently in this design, appearing in the intricately patterned sub-seconds dial, the shimmering hour and minute hands, and the background "sky" of the moonphase disc.

The Glashutte Original NordicLight watch incorporates a superb mechanical movement that is designed and manufactured in-house. The Caliber 90 is a self-winding mechanism that features an off-set rotor, a stop seconds feature, and an innovative duplex swan neck fine adjustment system for fine tuning of the rate and beat. A sapphire crystal exhibition window in the back permits one to admire the lavish decorations that adorn this work of the watchmaker's art. Each edge gleams with delicate beveling, while the three-quarter plate and rotor shimmers with a classical ribbed pattern. Each screw is polished and blued, while the balance bridge displays intricate hand-engravings, as well as swan neck adjustments that are beveled and polished. Two additional elements of note include a massive 21K gold segment on the edge of the skeletonized rotor, and winding wheels that are decorated with a sunburst pattern. Thanks in part to the massive gold-segmented rotor, the movement winds efficiently upon the wrist, and achieves its full power reserve of 42 hours with ease.

Glashutte Original presents each NordicLight Hanke watch upon a luxurious Louisiana alligator strap whose rich blue color mirrors that of the numerous sapphires that grace the white gold case. An additional 12 diamonds and 10 sapphires decorate the 18K white gold tang buckle.
