Girard Perregaux Vintage 1945 KIng Size Watch

In 1945 Girard Perregaux invented the model that is known today as the Vintage 1945. The distinctive rectangular case shape of this watch has become the hallmark of Girard Perregaux and they have successfully taken the design to new levels. The Vintage 1945 Kin Size small seconds is a wonderful watch with a truly retro feel.  The case on the Vintage 1945 is perfectly symmetrical measuring 32 x 32 mm. This makes the watch big while not overpowering ones wrist.

The Vintage 1945 King Size Small Seconds is available in three different versions, all set in stainless steel cases. The first is an all steel version with a black dial and only three numerical hour markers at twelve, three and six o’clock. The designers have done a great job with the dial design, providing functionality that is easy to use, while not cluttering up the dial.

There is a sub second’s window set at nine o’clock that is subtly merged into the rectangular decorative shape in the middle of the dial. The date window is tucked in between the one a two o’clock markers at a forty five degree angle. If you prefer a leather strap then consider with the 25830-11-611-BCG with a black dial and light brown leather strap or the 25830-11-111-BAE with a white dial on a dark brown leather strap. GP uses their GP 03390 movement to power the Vintage 1945 King Size. This movement is water resistant to 30 meters and has a power reserve of 46 hours.
