The unique dial of this Corum timepiece is a real investment of time for a gifted artist, who first engraves the intricate shapes and details of the horses upon the mother of pearl dial; afterwards, successive layers of brilliant lacquers are applied and fired in an oven, to produce a singular work of art that offers rich detail, and enduringly brilliant color. Due to this intensive process, the owner can be assured that each dial is a singular masterpiece. 

The Corum Classical Horses in the Wind watch is powered by a fine Swiss selfwinding movement which has a time-proven reputation for reliability, and offers a power-reserve of 42 hours.  Decorated with perlage and a Corum-personalized winding rotor, this mechanism can be admired through the sapphire-crystal window in the caseback of the watch.  As a testimony to this movement's exemplary performance, each has passed the demanding 15-day tests of the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres (COSC) which evaluates rate precision under a range of temperature and positional variances.
